Badge Pinning Ceremony for Humboldt Bay Fire Honors Members

A ceremony was held this afternoon for new and current employees of Humboldt Bay Fire

Six new firefighters were pinned today at the downtown Eureka station and two engineers were promoted as captains.

The six members went through eight weeks of training with rigorous workout routines for eight hours, five days a week.

Some of the training prepared them for land fires and how to properly use fire equipment.
