Food for People closed temporarily

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-Food for People in Eureka is forced to close after a city sewer malfunction.

The food bank is working with the city of Eureka and the Department of Health to assess the extent of damages and when they can re-open.

The warehouse and pantry will remain closed until its deemed safe to open.

According to the food bank, over $30,000 in food will have to be thrown away and building repairs will only add to that total.
