Eureka Police Captains have cup of joe with residents at Woman’s Club

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-The Eureka Woman’s Club opened its doors Wednesday morning for Coffee with the Captains. Residents gathered to voice their questions and concerns directly to Eureka police administrators.

According to Captain Brian Stephens, having a positive relationship with the community increases the ability for law enforcement to do their job.

Eureka Woman’s Club president Murline Georgeson attended her first coffee with captains event and told us the event is needed.

“If we can do things to help our community weather it’s the whole city, the county or just our residential area that’s important. We want to be good neighbors, we want to share with people how to be safer, how to interact with the police.”
