State Of Emergency in California Due to Covid-19

Governor Gavin Newsom

SACRAMENTO, Ca. (KIEM) – Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a State of Emergency in California due to the impacts of the coronavirus.

The declaration will make more resources available to combat the virus.

Formal emergency actions are underway in multiple state agencies to help prepare for a larger spread.

The proclamation will help to protect against price gouging, give health care facilities the ability to adapt to accommodate patients, and allow for health care workers from out of state to help.
