MCKINLEYVILLE, CA. (KIEM) – Just after ten last night, Humboldt County Sheriff Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Murray Road near Highway 101.
The driver, 27-year-old Paulino Chitic from Guatemala was unlicensed. With the aid of a k-9 unit over two pounds of heroin packaged for sale and a large amount of U.S.money were found in the vehicle.
Chitic and his passenger, 33 year-old Adelina Rios-Urbano from Mexico were arrested for possession and transportation of controlled substances.
A search warrant at 11 this morning at a residence on the 35-hundred block of Dows Prairie Road in McKinleyville that was frequented by Chitic and Rios-Urbano.
Agents located heroin, methamphetamine, and digital scales in the house.
The resident, 35-year old Dustin Lawler was arrested during the search for possession of controlled substances and operating a drug house.
