Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — Phase 2 of re-opening businesses here on the North Coast is officially underway, but not without some changes for both customers and employees.

For many businesses, there was a lot of uncertainty when the shelter in place order first went into effect. Now, with the start of phase 2, things are slowly getting back to normal with some changes.

Blue Ox Boutique is just one business adjusting how they do things. The store is taking advantage of their online store and doing what they can to still provide goods to customers. Their online shop has everything you would normally be able to find in store. While they are open for business, nothing can replace that face to face interaction with customers.

For now, the boutique is taking things day by day. Moving forward, their focus is on the digital store and making the online experience enjoyable for customers. They’re thankful for the community’s continue support.

All of the places in Old Town we spoke with stressed the importance of shopping local and supporting small businesses during this time, and thank the community for their support.
