HSU Alumna donates to new RN to BSN Program

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM) – As Humboldt State brings back its nursing program, an alumna donates $150,000 for those pursuing a nursing degree.

The Robin M. Smith, RN to BSN Nursing Scholarship Endowment is a renewable $2,000 award per student, created to support the new program and help students with financial barriers.

The new RN to BSN program is currently accepting applications for the fall 2020 semester.

Smith graduated from HSU in 1978 and after shaping her early nursing career in Humboldt County she knew she wanted to give back to future HSU Nursing graduates.

A link to the scholarship application will be available within the next couple of weeks at nursing.humbodt.edu.
