HSU hires new Men’s Basketball coach

Arcata, Ca (KIEM) – Humboldt State University hired a new coach to lead the Men’s Basketball team.

Twenty eighteen National Assistant Coach of the Year, Tae Norwood, will lead the Lumberjacks for the upcoming season.

Norwood has 20 years of collegiate athlete experience under his belt and will be traveling across the country as he leaves his previous coaching job at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Out of more than 120 applicants, Norwood was chosen as one of the final four before being offered the position.

HSU Athletic Director Jane Teixeira said his passion and leadership with his players off of the court made him stand out.

Norwood is set to begin his new position on June 2.
