Maxx Robison Sentenced 23 Years to Life for 2016 Murder

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — 24-year-old Maxx Robison is sentenced 23 years to life for the 2nd degree murder of 19-year-old Rhianna Skye McKenzie.

Robison plead guilty and admitted to using a firearm and committing the murder from a moving vehicle. He also pled guilty to the attempted murder of Elisha Mansell, which he will receive a concurrent 9 year sentence for.

Back in June of 2016, police say Robison was banging on doors at the McCullens Motel in search of drugs. Mr. Mansell told him to leave then fired several warning shots to motivate Robison to leave. Robison then fired an AK 47 style rifle into Mansell’s car killing McKenzie and injuring Mansell.

Robison will now be transferred to the department of corrections and rehabilitation.
