Dr. Teresa Frankovich does not expect to close reopened businesses due to COVID-19

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM) – Despite a potential increase in COVID-19 cases, Dr. Teresa Frankovich does not expect to close any reopened locations in the near future.

Governor Gavin Newsom recently released guidelines for re-opening locations including campgrounds, hotels and gyms.

According to Dr. Frankovich, all of the guidance’s are being reviewed and if necessary, adjusted to local areas.

Reopening’s are being placed on a low to high-risk list before the county releases opening dates.

Ongoing indicators of COVID-19 cases will determine whether or not the county needs to take a pause on reopening.
