Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office searching for Trinidad armed robbery suspect

TRINIDAD, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man wanted in connection to a late night armed robbery in Trinidad.

Around 10 o’clock Wednesday night, deputies were called to a business on the 300 block of Main Street. According to HCSO, an unknown male suspect entered the business, pointed a handgun at two employees, and demanded cash from the registers. HCSO says the suspect then physically assaulted the employees before taking a large amount of cash and fleeing.

The suspect is described as a white male adult, about 6 feet tall, wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt with dark jeans, a ski mask, and gloves. The man was last seen running westbound. A newer model white Chevy truck, possibly associated with the suspect, was later seen fleeing the area southbound on Highway 101.

Anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff’s office.
