10 new Covid-19 cases reported Wednesday, largest single day increase in local cases

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Public Health Department reports 10 new cases of covid-19 Wednesday marking the largest single day increase. It’s also the first time a single day’s report has reached double digits.

The total case count for Humboldt County now stands at 255. The county’s alert level remains at level 3. Right now, health officials are monitoring 62 active cases. Recoveries remain unchanged.

Of the total cases, 130 had contact to a known case, 67 were travel related, and 34 were a result of community transmission. Currently, there are 24 cases still under investigation.
