EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – The College of the Redwoods will receive five-year grant rewards for their TRiO program from the U.S. Department of Education.
The 30-year-old program supports first- generation, low income, and students with disabilities by providing counseling and advising services, a peer-based learning community, academic and technical support, career development, financial aid support, and financial literacy support.
Both the Eureka and the Del Norte TRiO support service programs received a perfect score on their programs’ design plan.
