7th Covid-19 related death, 6 new cases reported Thursday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Health Department reports a seventh Covid-19 related death in the area. According to the Joint Information Center, the resident was in their 60s.

Six new cases were also reported Thursday bringing the total number to 496, and 17 of those cases are active. Of the total cases, 319 contracted the virus through contact with a known case, 103 are travel related, and 67 a result of community transmission.

There are 7 cases under investigation. To date, 472 people have recovered from the virus.
