8 new Covid-19 cases, 4 more recoveries reported Wednesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms eight new cases of covid-19 Wednesday, the largest single day increase in a month.

This brings the county’s total case count to 542. Health officials are currently monitoring 14 active cases. Of the total cases, 348 people had contact to a known case, 114 are travel related, and 73 a result of community transmission. On a more encouraging note, 4 more recoveries have been reported bringing that number to 520.
