August Complex Fire burns 1,032,649 acres

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – The August Complex Fire is now 93%  contained after burning 1,032,649 acres.

Crews continue to mop up and patrol in areas near Ruth Lake.

Resources are working with home owners in the area to address concerns and mitigate hazards.

Minimal fire activity is expected to be seen in the North West zone of the fire over the next few days.

Suppression repair is underway in the municipal watersheds of Mad River and the South Fork of the Trinity River.
