Red Salmon Complex Fire burns 144,679 acres

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – The Red Salmon Complex Fire is 78% contained, with nearly 145,000 acres burned.

Infrared photography shows a 200 acre increase in fire size during the past two days.

Fire fighters are patrolling and strengthening fire lines, and three helicopters operating out of Scott Valley continue to monitor the fire.

The Red Salmon Complex Fire is being managed by three incident command teams located in the Klamath, Shasta-Trinity, and Six Rivers National Forests, and in the Hoopa Valley.
