New Public Health Officer awaits confirmation

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – A new Health Officer is expected to be named pending a confirmation by the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors this Tuesday.

Dr. Ian P. Hoffman could replace Dr. Teresa Frankovich as she steps down from her full time position.

He holds a Doctorate of Medicine and a Master of Public Health. He has previously worked For Kaiser Permanente in Portland and at open door in Arcata.

Dr. Hoffman’s hiring will be official after the confirmation from the Board of Supervisors.
