Arcata School District receives new electric school bus

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)- The Arcata School District now has a new school bus to add to its fleet, but this one is different.

It’s an electric school bus and it was made possible thanks to Maintenance Operations and Transportation Director Carol Grimes.

The project was supported by the California Climate Investments CCI Program, and was paid for by the California Air Resources Board’s Low Carbon Transportation Program.

The bus will be ready to roll as soon as school reopens.
