Man charged with assault with a deadly weapon

FRESHWATER, Ca. (KIEM) – A Freshwater man is in the Humboldt County Jail, charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

19 year old, Michael Patrick Homen was taken into custody Saturday afternoon, after getting into an argument with a family member.

Homen is accused of stabbing the 55 year old, male victim with a knife.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover from his injury.

Homen was found later on in the day walking along Freshwater Road and was arrested without incident.

The case is still being investigated.
