Mayor urges those vaccinated continue to practice state and county COVID-19 guidelines

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)-Eureka’s Mayor Susan Seaman urges the community to remain vigilant as vaccines continue to roll out and those vaccinated continue COVID guidelines.

Due to the rise in CORONAVIRUS cases, the county remains in the Purple Tier.

The county is working with local industries and organizations whose employees are next in-line for the vaccine – surveys have been sent out to determine their schedule.

“Even after you receive a vaccine, continue to social distance, wash your hands, and wear a mask,” said Mayor Susan Seaman. “While a vaccinated person may be safe from getting the virus, they can still spread it, necessitating continued safety measures.”
