Remains discovered in Oregon confirmed to be of local woman

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)-Remains discovered Tuesday in Yamhill County, Oregon have been confirmed to be of a Humboldt County woman.

On January 18th, just before 9 a.m. a Yamhill County resident found a suspicious object near the entrance of Stuart Genfell Park in rural Sheridan, Oregon.

The Yamhill Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit confirmed the discovery to be human remains, which were later confirmed to belong to 31-year-old Mariah Diane Lindgren – whose last known address was in Humboldt County, according to the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office.

Lindgren was known to have been in the Grand Ronde and Willamina areas these past few weeks, according to YCSO.

Anyone who may have had contact with Lindgren or have any information connected to the case is asked to call Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office at 503-434-7506.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Samantha Karges confirmed Lindgren’s last known address was in Trinidad, but said they are not part of the death investigation.
