CR athletes return to practice

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – College of the Redwoods athletes returned to practice this week with the hope of resuming competition.

According to Athletics Director Bob Brown, it is an evolving situation that will be approached as a day-by-day process. While there are no certainties, Brown is cautiously optimistic that seasons will resume and be finished out. CR Athletics is preparing for every situation.

Track and field, cross country, baseball, and softball have plans in place. The proposed schedules are currently under review.

One of the main considerations is travel. CR athletes will venture out of the county and opponents will come to Humboldt for competition. CR is aiming to start around the beginning of March, which can also be seen as a positive sign for sports still awaiting the green light.

“Everybody is on board to make this happen,” Brown said. “Again, we are all hopeful that things will continue to improve with their status and the pandemic and as more and more people get vaccinated, that more and more restrictions will be lifted and some opportunities provided.” buy bactroban online https://mexicanpharmacyonlinerx.net/bactroban.html no prescription
