HSU teams return to practice

ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM) – In the first opportunity since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Humboldt State University student-athletes will have the chance to return to practice.

New safety protocols will be in place, as the university is cautiously approaching the situation. New protocols include updated testing requirements, travel-related quarantines, and smaller practice groups.

Athletes are currently housed separately from other HSU students to help limit the potential spread of COVID-19.

In addition to practice, athletes will have the opportunity to play in exhibition games. According to HSU, each team will have multiple road games over the course of a few weeks. The games will not be part of conference competition.
