One Covid-19 related death, 26 additional cases reported in Humboldt County since Friday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department has reported 1 Covid-19 related death since Friday. The person was in their 80’s. There were 26 additional cases also reported since Friday. The total case count is now 3,473. Health officials are tracking 71 active cases.

In the last week, 15 more cases have been reported in northern Humboldt, 21 more in the greater Humboldt Bay area, and 4 more cases in southern Humboldt. The biggest weekly increase has been in 20 year olds and 40 year olds with both groups reporting 10 new cases. They are followed by 30 year olds with 9 new cases reported. A number of cases have been removed from the dashboard in 2 different age groups. Three cases were removed from the 50 year old group and 2 cases were removed from the 80 and older group.

There were 19 more recoveries were also reported bringing that total number to 3,366.
