Cass Bell falls to Jornel Lugo, suffers second loss

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (KIEM) – For the first time since Bellator 242, Cass Bell returned to the ring for a bantamweight showdown.

Bell entered the fight ranked eighth, set to face tenth ranked Jornel Lugo in the octagon. The bout lasted three rounds, but it was Lugo who prevailed thanks to several strategically placed kicks.

Lugo controlled the fight, ultimately landing 71 strikes, 44 punches, 20 kicks, in addition to three takedowns. Bell landed 9 strikes, 4 punches, and 4 kicks.

Lugo improves to 6-0, while Bell falls to 5-2.

On social media, Bell thanked his fans for their love and support, adding that he is in good spirits.
