One Covid-19 death, seven additional cases reported in Humboldt County Thursday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department has reported 1 Covid-19 death Thursday. The person was in their 70’s.

Seven additional cases were also reported. The total case count is now 3,579. Health officials are monitoring 84 active cases. One recovery was also reported bringing that total number to 3,458.

Thursday is the first day everyone 16 and older is eligible for a Vovid-19 vaccine statewide, according to Governor Newsom. Also in vaccine news, walk-in vaccination appointments are available this Friday and Sunday at the Arcata Community Center. Openings are first come first serve.
