PG&E will also be sharing what technology and tools they are now using to help minimize your chances of having your power turned off.

Deanna Contreras, spokesperson for PG&E told Redwood News, “We’re installing technology on the lines called sectionalizers. Basically, it’s grid technology that helps break up the grid into smaller pieces so we’re able to shut off the areas where the severe weather is and the areas where the severe weather is not so fewer people are impacted.”
