Kayak Trinidad offering free rentals for healthcare workers

TRINIDAD, Calif. (KIEM)- The recent surge of COVID-19 related hospitalizations has a lot of health care workers and hospitals overwhelmed and there is one local business that wants to thank them.

Kayak Trinidad will be offering free kayak and paddleboard rentals to all Humboldt County healthcare workers during Labor Day weekend.

Valid staff ID must be shown to get the free rentals and reservation must be done at least 24 hours in advance.

“We just saw an opportunity for a group of folks that could use a break and a little mental breather to do something nice for them to say thank you,” said the owner of Kayak Trinidad Jason Self.    

This event begins Saturday, September 4 and runs through Monday, September 6.
