Samoa Peninsula Fish Farm

Time is running out to let Humboldt County officials know your thoughts on a proposed onshore fish farm for the Samoa Peninsula.

The Nordic Aquafarms want to build a 760-thousand square-foot salmon farming facility. The Norway based company says it would create 150 permanent jobs.

Written comments on the project’s environmental impact are being accepted by the Humboldt County planning and building department until February 18th.
