Eureka Man Found Guilty Of Lewd Acts With Child

EUREKA, California — On January 27, 2022, an 11-year-old shared with her counselor that Sergio Reynoso-Lozano(48), of Eureka, had been molesting her as well as her older sister for years. The disclosure resulted in a mandatory report which led to a criminal investigation by the Eureka Police Department with assistance from the Child Abuse Services Team (CAST).

A Humboldt County jury found Reynoso-Lozano guilty for eight of the nine felony charges brought against him by the District Attorney. Reynoso-Lozano was charged on lewd acts with a child, and committing the crime against more than one child. Reynoso-Lozano faces 50 years to life in prison. His sentencing is scheduled on August 4.
