Latest fire updates for Humboldt-Del Norte counties

Fires continue to burn across Humboldt and Del-Norte Counties with the Smith River Complex being the largest.

Smith River Complex Fire – 0% Containment

In Del Norte, the Smith River Complex near Gasquet has grown to 7,563 acres as of 11:49 a.m. Friday morning via the Watch Duty app.
Evacuation orders are in effect near the area around the fire.

Level 3 “Go Now” evacuation order are in effect for Patrick Creek, Little Jones Creek, Copper Creek Drainage, Coon Creek/16n19 17n07, asington Flat, Pioneer Road and Panther Flat Campground.

Level 2 “Be Set” Evacuations evacuation warnings are in effect for High Divide, Rowdy Creek, Pioneer/Panther Flat, Gasquet from Pioneer Road to Siant Bridge.

Level 1 “Be Ready” evacuations warnings are in effect for Big Flat/Rock Creek, Low Divide and Hiouchi from Siant Bridge to the east end of North Bank Road.

Those under evacuation orders can head to the Del Norte County Fairgrounds located at 421 US-101 North in Crescent City being saged by the American Red Cross.

Highway 199 reamins closed from the Caltrans Idlewild Maintenance Station in Gasquet up to the Oregon border at Post Mile Maker 14.5 to 35.5. There is no estimated reopening time.

Lone Pine Fire – 5% Containment

In Humboldt County, Lone Pine Fire north of the Horse Linto Creek and the Trinity River in Willow Creek has burned a total of 500 acresas of 11:46 a.m.

While no evacuation warning has been called into effect, an evacuation advisory has been issued for Zone HIA-E014-B.

3-1 to 3-6 Fires (aka Pilot Fire) – 0% Containment

Also in Humboldt County is the 3-1 to 3-6 Fires, burning at 500 acres in Bridgeville as of 11:43 a.m.

Formerly referred to as the Pilot Fires, these fires consist of six separate fires.

No evacuation orders are in effects.
