Weekend Events! A list for you to choose from


It’s the weekend! We put together a list of different events that you can choose to go to.

For a good cause, on Saturday the city of Eureka is hosting a volunteer block party at Hammond Park starting at 11 a.m. Free barbecue will be served.

California Indian Days is also on Saturday at Bear River in Loleta starting at 11 a.m.

At noon, Richardson Grove State Park is celebrating 100 years with their centennial event. There will be food, fun, and music. Admission is free.

There will be a cultural dance performance at the Sanctuary Garden in Arcata at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free.

If you want to get crafty, Color Maíz is hosting a bookbinding workshop at the Morris Graves Museum of Art starting at 3 p.m. It’s free to attend.

This Sunday in Redway, comedians Billy Wayne Davis and Mike Mcgowan from the grown local podcast are coming to Humboldt for a comedy show benefiting the Mattel Community Center.
