HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt State University is searching for a new director to lead its Nursing program.

Registered nurses with an associate degree will be able to obtain their bachelors through the new program. Local health care providers are in support of re-launching the program. Saint Joseph Hospital donated a 2 million dollar grant their Community Benefit Program.

By bringing back the nursing major it will help with the ongoing health provider shortage.

The Nursing Director position is a full time role.

The program is hoping to see students enroll by Fall 2020.
