SSI/SSP Recipients eligible for Calfresh Benefits

Humboldt County, Ca., (KIEM) According to the Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services.

Due to the state expanding its nutritional benefits to people on SSI or SSP, State Supplementary Payment, nearly 6,000 disabled and elderly Humboldt County residents are eligible to apply for Calfresh benefits.

Benefits will not be awarded until June 1, however, the department said applications can be submitted in May.
