Arcata Firefighters Spend Weekend With DAO

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM)– Three Arcata Firefighters spent this weekend volunteering their time with Disabled Adventure Outfitters. Fire Captain John Evenson, Firefighter James Sakkis, and Volunteer Firefighter Dave Haller spent the weekend at the Trinity River.

Arcata Firefighters have been volunteering for DAO for the past eighteen -years.

The organization provides wilderness access to individuals with bleeding disorders and other disabilities in Humboldt and Trinity County. DAO programs offer one-day trips to week long camps.
