Board of Supervisors Makes Selections to Cannabis Micro-Grant and Load Advisory Committee

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – Project Trellis is making new steps, all to get the program up and running.

The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors formed the Cannabis Micro-Grant and Loan Advisory Committee.

Out of eleven applicants, the Board of Supervisors appointed two at-large and two alternates to the committee.

Rich Ames and Hannah Joy were appointed as at-large members. Ames will represent the banking and finance aspect, while Joy represents the cannabis industry. Brian St. Clair and Thomas Handwerker were both selected as alternates.

Back in May 2018, The Board of Supervisors established the committee. In total, the committee will have nine members. The other five members have also been selected by the Board of Supervisors.

Economic Development Director Scott Adair SAYS, this is a great next step for Project Trellis.

The committee is planned to meet within the next 30 days.
