First Month in for Hoopa Chairman

HOOPA, Ca. (KIEM)– It’s been a little over a month since Hoopa Valley Tribal Chairman was sworn in and he’s starting to get adjusted.

The transition hasn’t been as smooth as Byron Nelson Jr. would have liked with issues coming up he did not foresee.

But, he has already started putting some of his promises into action.

Random drug testing is now enforced and nelson believes the process has been nothing but positive.

While it is too soon to tell how the residents feel about the changes, he feels the mural is up in Hoopa.
