The weather has fire personnel on edge with an active red flag warning is in effect as the possibility of lightning associated with the upcoming storms.

With dry weather conditions this year and the potential for lightning storms this weekend, firefighters are on high alert for possible fires.

Up in Hoopa, firefighters are putting in extra work around the clock these next few days in case a fire does break out.
