Eureka Police Holds Ice Cream with the Cops

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — To celebrate the final days of summer, the Eureka Police Department held ice cream with the cops Tuesday afternoon.

Children of all ages came out to Jefferson Community Park to meet and chat with local police officers, get a cool EPD sticker, hang out with other kids, and grab some tasty ice cream provided by living the dream. And the best part? The ice cream was free.

According to one officer, he hopes events like this give kids the chance to interact with police officers and know that they are there to help them. To stay up to date on future events, you can follow the Eureka Police Department’s Facebook page.
