One Dead After Single Car Crash on Briceland Road

Humboldt County, Ca. (KIEM) — One man is dead after a single vehicle crash on Briceland Road. It happened this morning shortly after 7 am Tuesday morning.

According to CHP, a 33-year-old male was driving a 2005 Mazda van southbound on Briceland Road just south of the Shelter Cove Road junction. Then for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle.

He collided with the bridge railing, then the car overturned into the McKee Creek. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, but his identity is unknown at this time.

CHP says that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
