Eureka, Ca. (KIEM)- This time of year is all about giving back and helping out one another. There are some furry friends who are helping aid those in need every day.

Guide dogs are vital for those who are visually impaired and work hard to keep their handler safe.

Training takes more than a year to get the pup into top shape and will then get partnered with the perfect handler. Bill Cody went through a variety of different training sessions in order to prepare both of them for what living would be like together.

It is important to remember that guide dogs are working, and when they are on the clock it is crucial they are not distracted.
