Eureka City Manager Lotter placed on administrative leave

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-Eureka city manager Dean Lotter was placed on administrative leave.

City clerk Pam Powell will serve the role and responsibilities of acting city manager.

At the council’s direction, the city said Powell will continue to lead the remaining COVID-19 response and begin taking the actions necessary to move the community and economy forward. 

Lotter took over at the beginning over the year for Greg Sparks who retired in December.
