Man arrested for arson in Crescent City

CRESCENT CITY, Ca (KIEM)-A man suspected of setting fire near a Crescent City liquor store is arrested by police.

The Crescent City Police department said 44-year-old Steven Thompson was taken into custody after intentionally setting a fire in the Y-Liquors parking lot.

Crescent City Fire and Rescue was able to quickly extinguish the fire.

Thompson was located by officers near Home Depot.  He was transported to the Del Norte county jail and booked for arson.
