Eureka Police Department issues 3 felony warrants as a result of HACHR investigation

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) — Felony warrants are issued for 3 people as a result of the Eureka Police Department’s investigation into the Humboldt Area Center for Harm Reduction. Per EPD, 42-year-old Carl Erick O’Quist, 31-year-old Regina Fay Silk, and 30-year old Ronnie Jon Herren are wanted for possession of controlled substances for sale.

Back on September 3rd, EPD attempted to take O’Quist into custody at a motel on the 1100 block of 5th Street. Detectives saw O’Quist throw a plastic container out of a second story window. Over 32 grams of heroin and drug paraphernalia were found inside. Currency and other items linked to drug sales were located inside O’Quist’s room.

O’Quist was arrested on the felony warrant and faces fresh charges for possession of heroin for sale and violation of probation. The arrest warrants for Silk and Herren are still outstanding.
