HSU soccer teams earn United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM) – The Humboldt State University men’s and women’s soccer teams earned the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award.

To earn the honor, a team must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. HSU is one of 183 institutions to have both programs recognized as recipients. In total, 903 soccer teams made the cut. The national office awarded 341 men’s teams and 562 women’s teams.

Ten Lumberjacks of the men’s and women’s soccer teams earned the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award last season. Both teams also had 18 members named to the CCAA Fall Academic Team.
