HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)-As of about 8:45 Saturday evening, the Red Salmon Complex Fire is more than 141,000 acres and now 40% contained.

Rain totals over the fire area ranged from a 1/3 inch in the southeast to 3/4 of an inch in the northwest.

A temporary flight restriction remains in effect over the entire Red Salmon Fire area, which includes drones.

The U.S. Forest Services says, if drones fly, crews can’t.

Temporary closures of Cecilville Road due to firefighting operation could be implemented in the near future.

The communities of Denny, Forks of Salmon, and the area four miles around Cecilville remain under evacuation warnings.

Miller ranch is currently under an evacuation order.

Areas and roads within and near the fire perimeter on the Klamath, Six Rivers, and Trinity national forests are closed. More information click here.
