August Complex Fire is 93% contained

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – The August Complex Fire has burned more than 1,032,000 acres and remains at 93% contained.

Crews are working to patrol and mop up hot sports near the Ruth Lake area.  Where officials are working with homeowners to address concerns surrounding the toxic debris resulting from the fire.

Repair is underway in the municipal watersheds of Mad River and the South Fork of the Trinity River. Crews will continue to secure the fire line into the South Fork of the Trinity River.
