Fortuna man arrested after stealing a car from the Eureka Police Department

FORTUNA, Calif. (KIEM) — A Fortuna man is under arrest for stealing a car from the Eureka Police Department.

Deputies from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office were called out Sunday to the 5200 block of Rohnerville Road in Fortuna for an unresponsive man in a car. When they arrived on scene, no one was inside the car. After a search of the area, 32-year-old, Lance Eric Ostlund was found hiding in the brush. 

Ostlund was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, vehicle theft, and other charges.
