MENDOCINO COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday morning in Mendocino County.
It was a single car rollover crash that happened just after 9am on southbound Highway 101 north of Bridges Creek. CHP says the female driver of an SUV lost control of her vehicle, rolled multiple times, and came to a stop blocking traffic.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The victim’s ID has not been released pending notification of family. No word yet if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
